What a fun project! The goal was to keep many of the existing oak cabinets, they were in great shape and there were a lot of them. So how do we merge new with old? We add in a nice blue-grey paint color on some of the new elements, lighten up the floors, walls, countertops & backsplash, and add new cabinet hardware throughout. The best part was, there was room to add a nice long island with tons of storage and seating for three. Throw in a custom vent hood over the stove and you've got a beautifully updated kitchen without doing a complete overhaul!
